someone who abused me for over five years was a laveyan satanist. she used aspects of her beliefs to excuse my abuse, so i now associate the belief system with my abuse. i don't think you're an awful person for being a satanist, but it makes me very uncomfortable i hope you understand!

please note i understand that there are rules in satanism that go against the abuse of others, but that doesn't change the fact it's a trigger for me.
